COVID REGULATIONS for the Live Festival this weekend (as things stand currently)

Published: February 10th, 2022

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FROM AFYM.

To be admitted to the building:  Guildhall regulations stipulate that evidence of a negative Lateral Flow Test taken within 24 hours must be produced by everyone aged 11 years and over. You will need to show this evidence to a Steward at the door. Without it, you will not be able to enter the building.

Everyone will need to use hand sanitiser, which will be provided.

Everyone over the age of 10 years must wear a mask/face covering, unless medically exempt – evidence of exemption must be produced.

These regulations may change depending on Welsh Government guidelines and the Guildhall’s own requirements.

AFYM Performers need to bring a copy of their music for the adjudicator, and a completed Music Administration Document (MAD slip) must be attached to the music

Download a MAD slip from the AFYM website  https://www.afym.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/AFYM-MAD-slips-2022.docx  or print it from https://www.afym.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/AFYM-MAD-slips-2022.pdf

Music for the adjudicator should be placed in the box provided outside the Lord Mayor’s Reception Room

Performers may bring a maximum of 4 audience members (adult or child), including accompanist, with them. The capacity of the room is limited because of Covid restrictions, and performers and their audience members must sit in family bubbles within the venue

Audience members are admitted free of charge

Each performer will be allowed to have someone video their performance.  There will be an allocated space for the video recorder which will be located so that the best filming angle is possible. Anyone making a video is permitted to share the video with family and friends ONLY. The video is not to be put on Facebook or any other medium where it can be viewed by members of the public. This would contravene AFYM’s Rules and Child Protection Policy

There will be a ‘one way’ system into and out of the room, please adhere to this and avoid any mingling with other household bubbles if possible to maintain Covid safety.  Unlike other years, no refreshments will be available at the Guildhall, due to Covid

Don’t forget that if you have queries, you can contact us at any time by email or by using the Contact Form on the AFYM website.  In an emergency during the festival, you can text or call (leave a message if necessary) Helen on 07713607767

We hope that we will all have an enjoyable and safe festival, we look forward to seeing you and hearing you play

Good luck everyone

Caroline @ AFYM
